Perched on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Inn has been a luxury resort since 1914, and is one of the National Trust’s Historic Hotels of America. The Inn celebrated its 83rd birthday with a restoration program. Brown, Richardson + Rowe assisted with moving the main entry to the rear and with designing a new outdoor spa. The elegant design suits the inn’s history and level of service. Understated signage and planting clarify the arrival sequence to guests, and native plants, cabanas, and trellises in the spa create a restful retreat.
