Anderson Memorial Bridge

Location: Cambridge, MA
Client:
Massachusetts Department of Transportation
Team: Fay, Spofford & Thorndike (now Stantec), McGinley Kalsow & Associates, Inc.

The bridge, located between two historic parkways along the Charles River, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Many motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians use the bridge. Brown, Richardson + Rowe worked on improving pedestrian and bicycle connections to and from the bridge. We prepared a tree inventory that includes the location, condition, size and species of the trees near each end of the bridge. We identified the trees that will be affected by the rehabilitation of the bridge and came up with an appropriate plan for tree replacements and path improvements.
