I-95/I-93 Interchange Project, Canton, Dedham and Westwood, MA
Brown, Richardson + Rowe, Inc. prepared a master plan for restoring the ecological functions of 50 acres of land that had been degraded by highway construction in the 1960’s. New wetlands, ponds, streams, pastures, wildlife and rare species habitat will replace abandoned roads and ramps. Accessible pedestrian and bicycle trails will connect the Skyline Trail in DCR’s Blue Hills Reservation with trails in the Fowl Meadow Reservation. New plants will be native and compatible with their surroundings.
